Spoiler Alert - Do Not Read If You Prefer to be Surprised
In Heart’s Desire, Abigail (Lori Loughlin) plans a trip to Hamilton to find her daughter-in-law,
Clara (Eva Bourne), concerned after not hearing from the girl since the trial and still
reeling from the painful discovery of Bill Avery’s (Jack Wagner) infidelity. After arriving to stay
with the Thatcher family, Abigail notices the chemistry between Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) and her
friend Charles (Marcus Rosner), and wonders where Elizabeth’s feelings for Jack (Daniel Lissing)
stand. Back in Hope Valley, Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) is celebrating her good fortune after
being offered a starring role in a play in San Francisco, and planning her imminent departure,
accompanied by two producers. But as she travels out of Hope Valley with the two men, her
happy excitement quickly turns into a terrifying kidnapping. When Jack gets word of her plight,
he heroically takes off to rescue the dramatic actress, the ordeal brings them closer together—
something the widows back in town can’t help but notice. Then, Abigail is shocked when Bill
shows up to help her find Clara, asking to explain his wife’s visit. Although Abigail doesn’t want
to hear him out, they go together to find Clara, who is in a dangerous predicament, and Abigail
must reluctantly rely on Bill to get the girl to safety. And as the carefree Julie Thatcher
(Charlotte Hegele) embarks on a budding romance during a secret rendezvous with Jack’s
daring brother Tom (Max Lloyd-Jones), Elizabeth seriously confides in Abigail her conflicted
feelings about returning to Hope Valley—and to Jack—before ultimately coming to a decision
that will leave so much unsaid.
Elizabeth is warmly welcomed home to Hope Valley, where her anticipated reunion with
Jack comes with a big surprise—the beautiful new schoolhouse is finally complete. Abigail
introduces Clara to town and begins training her to work at the café. Elizabeth volunteers to
help out a local farmer when he must go on a trip and leave his two children back at the
homestead. Hoping to prove she belongs on the frontier after her time away in Hamilton,
Elizabeth stubbornly refuses Jack’s offers to help, until she quickly finds herself overwhelmed
and scared on the farm. Meanwhile, back in town, Lee (Kavan Smith) officially opens the
sawmill, and begins private negotiations to bring the first railroad to Hope Valley. But when a
scheming widow comes to Mayor Gowen (Martin Cummins) to reveal Lee’s plans, Gowen grows
determined to sabotage the railroad with his signature underhanded manipulation. As Lee
prepares to lose everything in order to take Gowen down, Mountie Bill Avery (Jack Wagner) is
confronted with the truth about his failed marriage to Nora (Kristina Wagner), and grows more
desperate in his deception.
And finally, when a weary Elizabeth realizes life on the homestead isn’t so easy, she is grateful
for Jack’s help as they both find their own unique purpose on the frontier.

Heart and Soul - Episode #2002 – Saturday, May 2, 2015
Spoiler Alert - Do Not Read If You Prefer to be Surprised
In Heart and Soul, Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) grows nostalgic as she spends more time with her doting friend Charles (Marcus Rosner) in Hamilton, further complicating her feelings, while Jack (Daniel Lissing) returns to the renamed Hope Valley to fulfill a labor of love for the young teacher—rebuilding the church and school. Jack enlists the help of new friend and timber tycoon Lee Coulter (Kavan Smith), who is becoming more smitten by Jack’s beautiful ex, Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) as their flirtation grows. A trusting Abigail (Lori Loughlin) says goodbye to Bill (Jack Wagner), who claims he has a new investigation back East, but promises to return to her. With her hopes up, Abigail is devastated when she receives a visit from someone very close to Bill, claiming he hasn’t been completely truthful. Meanwhile, Hope Valley is wrought with more dishonesty as conman Floyd Conklin (Paul McGillion) arrives in town to swindle the hard-working residents, but is quickly mistaken for the church’s new Reverend, the ruggedly handsome Frank Hogan (Mark Humphrey), who is expected to arrive any day. After Lee rejects Gowen’s (Martin Cummins) offer to work together on the new saw mill, Gowen threatens him, and soon has another tactic for getting what he wants that will drastically affect the whole town. Floyd and Gowen’s manipulative exploits explode in the saloon as a beloved Hope Valley couple prepares to exchange vows. Worlds away, Elizabeth feels the pressure from her parents and her newly engaged sister Viola (Devon Weigel) to make a decision about Charles and Jack, wondering if her adventure on the frontier prevented her from finding happiness—and true love—right at home.

Trials of the Heart - Episode #2001 – Saturday, April 25, 2015
Spoiler Alert - Do Not Read If You Prefer to be Surprised
In Trials of the Heart, Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) and Jack (Daniel Lissing) take their relationship to new heights after their first kiss. But before they can get serious, Elizabeth receives a telegram from home; her mother has fallen ill. Jack insists on accompanying Elizabeth back to her hometown of Hamilton, but when they arrive, Elizabeth’s high-society parents, William and Grace (Garwin Sanford and Lynda Boyd), as well as her tough sister, Viola (Devon Weigel), aren’t pleased to see Elizabeth cozying up to a Mountie. Meanwhile, back in Coal Valley, Abigail (Lori Loughlin) is avoiding forensic investigator Bill Avery (Jack Wagner) after her heartbreaking discovery of his wedding ring, while focusing on the trial against Gowen (Martin Cummins) and the Pacific Northwest Mining Company. Abigail hopes to convict the greedy coal baron for the mine explosion that took her late husband and son’s lives—and clear her family of any wrongdoing. With emotions running high among the widows, they are all shocked when the prosecutor arrives and it is a woman, Samantha Madison (Laura Mennell). Not everyone has faith Samantha will be a formidable opponent against Gowen and the corrupt new judge, Judge Roy Parker (Serge Houde), but Sam hopes to surprise them with a promising witness. Then, when Abigail finally confronts Bill about his secrets, she discovers they have much more in common than she expected, and perhaps their love story is only just beginning. As the trial gets underway, an upsetting betrayal might mean heavy hearts for all of Coal Valley, just as Elizabeth encounters an old friend whose new flirtation could trouble her own heart.
Elizabeth’s childhood friend, the dashing Charles Kensington (Marcus Rosner), continues vying for her affections as Jack meets up with his troubled younger brother, Tom (Max Lloyd-Jones), whose run-ins with the law have always worried Jack. In a Coal Valley court room, Abigail and prosecutor Samantha think their case is lost against Gowen after their key witness lies on the stand, but Sam proves she won’t be underestimated when she calls another, shocking witness to speak—one who has a meaningful and hidden connection to Abigail’s family. After her testimony, Judge Parker hands down the surprising verdict, giving the whole town a cause for celebration.
Then, newcomer Lee Coulter (Kavan Smith), a businessman with a heart of gold, gives Coal Valley a reason to hope—and piques Rosemary’s (Pascale Hutton) interest. With the trial behind her, Abigail realizes she may finally be ready to move forward, possibly with the affections of Bill, but she doesn’t know that he may not be the honest widower she thought he was. Back in Hamilton, Elizabeth and her sisters catch Jack and Tom in the middle of a bar fight, and an elegant dinner at the Thatcher household soon positions Jack and Charles as rivals. After an encounter with Elizabeth’s father William, Jack gains a deeper understanding about Elizabeth’s life, and disappointedly decides to return to the frontier without her, as Elizabeth faces unanswered questions about their future together.
